Made this with a few of the stamps from my Dreamy Butterflies set
I would feel better if I had used a nice paper or had created a background that was well, less messy but hey ho, nothing ventured nothing gained. Had a great day and managed to meet up with the lovely Fi who is on my Design Team, she was also on the workshop. Poor Sheena was rather poorly but managed to carry on til the end. A total trouper and as mad as a box of frogs lol
On the workshop we used alcohol inks which I enjoyed using on tin etc. We made 3 cards too. I must admit they are very different to what I normally do and must admit I don't favour things too distressed as i feel they always look a bit messy but thought I would post them up here anyway. I don't think i will be adopting these tequniques for my crafting but did come away with loads of hints and tips of things that I will use, ie using the alcohol inks. I have a wee project I can do with my son lined up so that should be fun.Pamela Harleyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14784389670291331731noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4042108509938567199.post-609264495793341542010-05-11T10:13:00.002+01:002010-05-11T10:19:53.271+01:00Card for neice<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 157px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_CxJwYqH7Anw/S-khMlGqmPI/AAAAAAAAAQg/VmlBJZ2lXDM/s200/kerri2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5469939722420394226" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 128px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_CxJwYqH7Anw/S-khMU-Q6qI/AAAAAAAAAQY/GCedcMerOys/s200/kerri1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5469939718090189474" />
I made a card for my neice who was 14 yesterday. I used my New Got It Covered CD. Printed onto irridescent card, then made side stepper card. I printed out cutting sheet from the teen girls section of the CD, cut out and assembled the decoupage. I tore a piece of pink vellum and ran through the cuttlebug to emboss. I used the greeting tiles on the cutting sheet to decorate the card. I made a matching C5 envelope using one of the envelope templates on the cd I also made an atc envelope which I attached to the inside of the card to put a gift of money in. The envelopes were made from backing papers also on the CD.Pamela Harleyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14784389670291331731noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4042108509938567199.post-84845056095249382182010-04-25T20:36:00.003+01:002010-04-25T20:40:23.726+01:00A few SamplesHere are a few samples made with my new CD. It is a digistamp birdhouse in various sizes and 2 sheets of backing paper full colour and 2 sheets with a distressed look to it.
Enjoy, not sure if I will keep uploading freebies as no-one seems to say thanks.
Having a huffy moment lol
Pamela
xPamela Harleyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14784389670291331731noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4042108509938567199.post-22639676053111743622010-04-12T14:08:00.002+01:002010-04-12T14:24:20.961+01:00One of my stamps

Finally got round to taking a picture of one of my bear stamps. I have been playing around with making stamps to get to grips with the logistics of it. I have made quite a few wee bears just to test out the process. Here is one of them stamped up also the backgound has been made using another stamp made to go with the bear in a set. I stamped the flower with versmark pad then used 2 colours of cosmic shimmer powders to colour. used some distressed inks to colour my mats. Stamped bear onto a linen card and sponged around the edges with distressed ink. Coloured using pro markers and added a few flowers as embelishements. The best wishes could have come out better but was using a new rather juicy pad. Also glazed over the greeting not sure if that was such a good idea. Anyway I think he/she is sooo cute.

Pamela

x

Pamela Harleyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14784389670291331731noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4042108509938567199.post-17448386341300731622010-03-19T10:22:00.002+00:002010-03-19T10:35:08.317+00:00Disk UpdateOk Ok this must be the dullest craft blog on the planet. The disk is going to be finished in the next day or so. Looking good even though I do say so myself. So when I have had a good old play there will be pictures, I promise. Also the Desgin Team will be getting let loose to do there thing on it, I can't wait to see their creations.
I am really excited as from the begining of June I will be giving my full attention to Crafty Catz so things will be coming faster and also I can spend all my time on rubber stamps, templates, disks etc. I also plan to get some blog challenges going with a little help from a few friends so an exiting time.
I had planned to have some stamps available by now but a supplier has been holding things up a bit waiting on stuff coming grrr but not to worry. It gave me longer to play around with the equipement. Oh I did have a really cute bear stamp done with and ice cream who when stamped and coloured was adorable, may post a picture later. He hasn't made it onto a card yet but he is so cute. I also had a few owl stamps made up when I was playing around as owls seem to be taking over the world just now lol that and cupcakes.
Anyway that's just a bit of an update. As for people asking about the Design Team I have published their names on the website.

I will add all the names on here and links to their blogs (for those who have them) later on today.
I did want to put pictures of them and a little bio but a few are very shy about photos.

Anyway enough of me babbling
Bye for now
Pamela
xPamela Harleyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14784389670291331731noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4042108509938567199.post-61636120483030630842010-02-28T17:23:00.003+00:002010-02-28T17:29:13.405+00:00March freebie

Oh I know, I know poor neglected blog. I have been so busy with the new disk and also decided that I am going to be doing rubber stamps too so that has been quite a lot of work but had a blast playing with different materials and playing with samples I made so keep your eyes open as on my website I will be bringing clear polymer rubber stamps, designed by me. These are top quality and not the easily torn acrylic stamps so they should last for years. I am very excited. Anyway enough of my waffling. There is a March freebie on my website here is a picture of a finished sample. I hope you enjoy.

Find freebie download at www.craftycatz.co.uk and click on March freebie

Pamela Harleyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14784389670291331731noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4042108509938567199.post-39598667974902306942010-02-02T10:39:00.002+00:002010-02-02T10:43:23.097+00:00Febuary FreebieA new free download is available on the website www.craftycatz.co.uk. I have tried to do a kind of love theme but could also be used for mothers day or anyone partial to a flower. Designed it so you can layer them up, gradually getting smaller for dimension and giving a snip between the leaves to separate for a stunning effect or you can use the flowers individually.
There is a matching inset and backing paper too.

Pamela
xPamela Harleyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14784389670291331731noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4042108509938567199.post-48753942785173493492010-01-27T14:17:00.003+00:002010-01-27T14:28:49.221+00:00Design Team UpdateThe past few days have been very busy. i am trying to forge ahead with CD number 3. I am beginning to wonder whether I am going to need to do it as a double disk but will see how much I can get onto one. I have had some amazing replies from some wonderful crafters out there to join the Design Team. And a few gentlemen who I think are amazing offered too which made my week to be honest but all will be revealed soon.
Anyway no pictures of cards I am afraid they all get put onto the website. Not had much time to craft either, I must admit though I need to do some crafting as it becomes like an ache if I don't and my poor pazzles wants out of the box to play.
If anyone has a recipe or pattern for more hrs in a day then please send it to me ha ha
Right back to work for me.
Happy Crafting
Pamela
xPamela Harleyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14784389670291331731noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4042108509938567199.post-42970458569014624462010-01-20T11:02:00.004+00:002010-01-25T13:32:40.538+00:00Design Team CompetitionOk I am putting together a design team to help me make samples. I was doing it all by my ownsome but time is always against me. The samples will be used to demonstrate my craft CDs on Create and Craft TV. Imagine seeing your work on our favorite craft channel. If you have a blog and you are interested then please put 2 of the best cards you have made on your blog with the title Crafty Catz Design Team Competition and put a link back to my blog. Once you have done this email me and let me know why you want to join the design team. Once I have narrowed it down I will ask for 2 samples that you have made to be sent by post to me.

You can email me at craftycatzmail@googlemail.com
website www.craftycatz.co.uk

I look forward to hearing from you.
Pamela
xPamela Harleyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14784389670291331731noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4042108509938567199.post-10677022345136782952010-01-20T10:46:00.009+00:002010-01-20T16:47:24.201+00:00

The Happy Hoppers CD was released on Create and Craft TV. I offered this as a multibuy with the Alpha Bears CD. It has been extremely popular. For the last show I had Leonie who was sweet but felt there wasn't enough time to show everything on the disk. I tried to put a video on here but it doesn't work but there is one on the Crafty Catz website showing the images from the disk. To the left is a collage of some of the images available. The multibuy offer is still available on the Crafty Catz website.

Pamela Harleyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14784389670291331731noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4042108509938567199.post-79033671152329923112009-10-30T15:23:00.003+00:002009-10-30T15:33:55.461+00:00Craft CD debut on Create and CraftWell the new CD was launched on Create and Craft yesterday 29th October 2009 on Create and Craft TV. I had the lovely Martyn, he was super to work with. I am so glad that the show went well and even happier that my hands didn't shake like crazy. I met Sara from Crafters Companion, and was so amazed at how lovely and down to earth she was. You might have expected someone who has had the phenomenal success that she has had over the past 4 years that she would have been different but what a top girl. She even gave me a few good pieces of advice for the show, I really appreciated that who wouldn't she is such a pro. Christine from Pinflair was there, I already met her at my screen test and again she was very lovely, a really nice lady. The day went by so quickly and the hour long show seemed to pass in a flash. The only down side was the 6 hour drive home and watching the show back how utterly fat I looked. They say a camera adds 10lbs but oh dear might need to get to a gym lol.
Alpha Bears Now available http://www.craftycatz.co.uk/Pamela Harleyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14784389670291331731noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4042108509938567199.post-53397665453107573162009-10-09T07:36:00.003+01:002009-10-09T07:39:14.480+01:00All went wellWell the screen test went really well. I got Howard who is lovely. It seemed a bit daunting but everyone was brilliant. It was a very long day though travelling from Scotland and back. I met Christine from Pinflair and she was a really nice lady too, very friendly and down to earth. It made waiting a pleasure. Going to enrol the help of my Pazzles for shapes to mount my images on. It really is brilliant, cuts through everything I have thrown at it with 1 pass. I even managed a template of a side step card, I must admit I am too lazy to do all that measuring each time. Mind you kept getting it slightly out size wise to do it on a complete A4 size so had to ask my engineer hubby to work out the sizes. Anyway here are a few of the cards I have made. Head over to http://www.craftycatz.co.uk to find out more about the CD for more.

Pamela Harleyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14784389670291331731noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4042108509938567199.post-67274023253912266152009-08-31T15:34:00.003+01:002009-08-31T15:42:09.644+01:00Alpha Bears CD finishedWAHOO!!!!!
My CD is finally finished and I am so proud of it. It would have been finished ages ago but I didn't want to just chuck it out in folders. I wanted it presented professionally and easy to use. So it has landed, an easy to navigate menu with interactive features to let people edit inserts and greetings tiles. I have started working on my next one as Create and Craft want to air it, just need to get my finger out regarding samples etc. Mind you they say the camera adds 10lbs might be a good time to get cracking on the diet and hope only 1 camera points at me at a time.
Check out my website more samples will be added when I get time to post them http://www.craftycatz.co.uk/Pamela Harleyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14784389670291331731noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4042108509938567199.post-26233460035289895022009-08-31T15:30:00.002+01:002009-08-31T15:33:32.299+01:00Love Word book on the pazzles

I did this word book on my pazzles, I had designed it ages ago for the Craft Robo, but used a converter to change it over for the Pazzles software. I still love the La Pashe Flipping range. I made the apperture card on the pazzles to mount the Flipping Men decoupage on. I used 3 pieces of A4 card. I cut 2 with appertures and a dashed line to fold which was used to join the apperture part to the plain piece of A4. on the second piece of A4 card the dashed piece was cut off then both appertures were stuck together with acetate in the middle. Oh I hope that makes sense. I cut out dad in mirri board along with corners on the Pazzles. Any way the finished result is the card below. He loved it as he does like a bit of a flutter

Pamela Harleyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14784389670291331731noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4042108509938567199.post-48190452483638386352009-08-31T15:10:00.002+01:002009-08-31T15:22:10.094+01:00Pazzles ArrivedAfter having a love affair with my Craft Robo for 18months or so I decided although I did love him I wanted something with a bit more oomph!!! I searched the Internet and read all about various machines. I fancied a Bosscut Gazelle but they aren't available in the UK unless you ship them in yourself from the US. Not ideal as if something goes wrong, it can be a pain. Then after looking in to the pazzles I made my mind up that this was the one I wanted. After a carry on to get it from a UK supplier (who will remain unnamed) I am tempted to name and shame but I won't. My lovely pazzles arrived. She is quite a bit bigger than my robo but by goodness is she quieter. And boy does she do as she is told. I have cut fun foam thick and thin on it to make finger puppets and a mask for my little boy, glitter card, thick card and mirri board all cut like butter. She cuts bigger, better and I know exactly where she will cut. Love her to bits. Not tried embossing with her but I do have the tool for it but might need the mat. I think I will keep my Robo for print and cut projects, I have heard that the Pazzles does a print and cut but it doesn't have an optical eye . Will look into it further when I have time.Pamela Harleyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14784389670291331731noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4042108509938567199.post-71154072805396720312009-06-24T10:43:00.002+01:002009-06-24T10:47:04.898+01:00Card for the Teacher

Our schools are finishing up this week so needed to make a teacher card. I designed this school house in inkscape along with the schools out greeting and mat cut out on the Robo. I have put these designs on UK Scrappers to share with others. I wanted to put little characters on the card but didn't want to resort to my sizzix ones and ran out of time to try to design some oops but my little boy was happy to take this to his P2 teacher.

Pamela Harleyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14784389670291331731noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4042108509938567199.post-61046666326524078472009-06-18T11:57:00.006+01:002009-06-18T12:06:19.932+01:00Elvis for Fathers Day

Made these 2 cards for Fathers day cards. My dad loves Elvis and now my 6 year old has started listening to his music. Mind you when you see Elvis like this he is handsome. I got the main image from a cd but changed it to my liking then designed the backing papers and inserts to match. I'm sure my dad and father-in-law will love these.

Pamela Harleyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14784389670291331731noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4042108509938567199.post-6099501356728707172009-06-18T11:51:00.005+01:002009-06-18T11:57:18.848+01:00Card for Sons friend

Oh it has been a while since I posted anything. I have been flat out with the cd which is coming on nicely. I have a few samples made up and quite a few cut out ready to mount. Hard going trying to work on designing and making up samples but hey ho having fun and I am pleased with the way it is turning out out. It is a lot of hard work but not like digging ditches is it.
When it is nearer completion I will publish pictures here and on the website. So for now it is back to the grindstone lolPamela Harleyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14784389670291331731noreply@blogger.com2
